The saga of AJ Bigz started a long time ago when I was young. I've always been taller than everyone, asmuch as I've always had a heightened love for music. I was brought up on old rock and roll, heavy
metal, and soul. This came into play later in life when I used my basic knowledge of guitar and blues
music to instill a rawness in the delivery and content of my lyrics. In high school I learned that writing
was a way to alchemize my struggles into something that instead of being unhealthy and negative could
actually be beautiful, positive, and beneficial. Not only to myself, but to others that heard it and related
to the message. As I got older and life's problems became more complex, so did my lyrical content,
rhythmic timing, and melodic delivery. Music is how people cope with, understand, and relate to the
joys and sorrows they experience in life. To be a part of that experience is a divine blessing. That’s why I
started, and why I will always continue to do music.
